Hey all, I have a 330Ci (E46) with the BMW Business CD headunit, Harman/Kardon soundsystem and 6 x CD-changer. However I would like the original BMW navigation system and be able to watch TV/movies on the screen as well. Do any of you guys know where to go if I want this done the cheapest way possible? What will the price be? Are there any other options? Other advice/ideas are more than welcome as well! Thanks in advance :) Best regards Martin Trinity | |

If i understand your personal information correctly you are Danish right? There are some danish people on this site and usually they write in danish here. If you understand swedish here is a installation of an OEM navigation unit: Länk On other forums there are english instructions for this installation. The tv function will work with the OEM navi screen, but dvd solutions are not provided by Bmw(not with the oem navi anyway) My guess is that if you can find a used navi unit the total cost would be around 15 000 Swedish crowns. Thank you very much. Yes I am Danish but I live in Sweden so I cheer for Sweden tonight :) Anyway.. I need the DVD function so I think I will go for the new Pioneer system instead (the AVIC-X1). However the original BMW Business CD is a lot bigger than the standard stereo size from Pioneer. Is there an adapter for the E46 to fit an "ordinary" stereo system instead of the much bigger one? If so, how do I get hold of this? Is the Pioneer unit compatible with my BMW CD changer? Are there other things I should considder here? Any piece of advice are more than welcome :) Best regards Trinity |

Yes there are adapters so you can use regular sized stereos in your bmw. This can be found at your local carstereo dealer, if you live in malmö i would Suggest BRC it is located in jägersro. There are ways to get DVD to work with the OEM Navi. Try searching on this site for more info Länk You need some special adapter to get a video in signal. The Pioneer is probably not compatible at all with your cd changer. BMW use IBUS communication bus. This is realy not compatible at all with standard stereo components. Thanks once again. Then we can exclude that option as well :( Well new thoughts: Is it possible to only install the original screen/monitor? And leave the navi? Is this cheaper? I need the DVD option and the navi option is not what I am missing... If so where do I get the 16:9 monitor cheapest? Other possibilities? Best regards Trinity |
