Länk Big Chief Muffin: I got a 2000 B10 3.3 - I am the second owner and have put on about 30,000Kms on it - now showing about 60,000 Kms. The car is great but I am getting really lousy oil consumption - about 1 litre every 1500 Kms. I am using the Castrol 0 30 stuff as recommended. I am having it serviced at a BMW dealers who say that they cannot see anything wrong with it and that this is "normal". Is this so ? What are other people gettiing ? Am thinking of changing soon to a B3 3.4s - is this any better ( on the oil ) ? Länk neil: It is stated that it is normal for an Alpina engine to use 1ltr of oil / 1000 miles. | |
