Hi, sorry that I´m writing this in english, but my swedish is not so good... I was reading old messages in this forum and noticed that some of you have had same problem as I do at the moment. None of you did tell if you have got it fixed though. So, my original business rds with cd-changer sometimes lost all sound when listening FM-radio. Usually radio is working for few minutes and then it dies. CD, cassette and AM-radio are working all the time so the problem is in the tuner then. Is this problem easy/possible to solve? Would it be better to buy a new radio throw old one away. I just like the looks of the original. How have originally made this for BMW (bavaria c business rds for ´92 525TDS)? And also i´d like to know the manufacturer for CD-changer. | |

Looks like you have to take tuner to the service bench. Although AM is working I would test with another antenna just for sure. Is the antenna integrated in rear window? Then there is a antenna preamp which could fail, possible without affecting AM so much. Blaupunkt, Philips and Becker are all OEM:s for BMW stereo systems. Besides, I think Alpine and Pioneer has been involved in CD-changers. FP |

I think it is not antenna ´cause there is no sound at all from the radio, not even noise. Where is this antenna preamp located in sedan? |

looks like it´s internal problems in the FM-tuner. Preamp is situated inside polstery on left C-panel, next to the connection of the heating wires in the rear window. FP |
