I saw in mekar tips this tip to change the language on my OBC but it doesn't work on my OBC, anyone knows why? this is the procedure i fallow: Stäng av alla strömförbrukare, stäng dörrarna. Slå på radioläge och håll check-control knappen inne (den högra i instrumentpanelen) tills nytt språk visas. Släpp och håll in för att välja ett annat språk. Det finns 8 att välja på. Om intresse för att kontrollera programversion finnes, fortsätt hålla inne knappen tills dess att panelen först visar "I.O. Version 2.0" eller motsvarande, sedan "H.P. Version 3.4" eller motsvarande Best regards JV | |

If it is an E34: 1) Turn on the ignition. 2) Press [1000] and [10] at the OBC simultaneously. 3) Press [10] first and [1] then, to enter "Test 11" 4) Press [S/R] 5) Step to the desired language with [100] 6) Press [S/R] 7) Press [Uhr] (date/time) to exit. Then change units with the "km/C" or "miles/F" if you want. I am using US as language, but have changed all units to metric. |

Thanks osprey but i still have some questions.. In which position do i have to have the ingnition to? 1st or 2nd? Should i turn off all the lights? Should i have the stereo on ? Or nothing of the above matters? Best regards JV |

| You should have the ignition on, it means you should have the ignition on the 2nd. | |

It´s very important to turn off anything that uses electricity first, even the lights inside the car matters... Otherwise it won`t work properly! Jeppe A true gentleman never travels behind less than twelve cylinders! |

Finaly the language is changed but not with osprays way! Osprae, the procedure you described stuck at step 4.. After i press set reser button i get a message on the disålay "0 Land" and when i press 100 nothing hapens, it still stands "0 LAND" I got a tip from bmwE34.net foru and it really works!!! check this out Länk 1) Turn the ignition on the 1st point. 2) Press the reset buton in the instrument pannel "not the left that resets the odometer but the right one" and hold it down untill the first language apear. 3) When it does and its your prefered language just release the reset button and turn off the ignition. 4) if it is not the prefered language then release the reset button and press it again. Fallow this procedure untill the wanted language apears on the display. A big thank you to everybody for the help and your time!! Best regards JV |

I think that it depends on that the OBC and the Check Control in the Instrument can have different languages, of some strange reason they don't play together or affect each other... The language for the OBC is set as I described but the language for the Check Control in the instrument is set as Ivenos described... I reallized this fact when I hav had dismounted my instrument and had to set the language in the Check Control with the right button to english, but the OBC still spoke german... I think it is only one software version, but it is a problem that the OBC and the Check Control isn´t synchronized... |

In my case the language was changed to OBC also when i changed it for the instrument!!!! Osprey turn it back to german in both and try to do it from the instrument , let us know how it works!! Best regards JV |

I followed Osprey´s version and it changed both OBC and CC from german to english (in my case) I have a 530i -95 |
