Hello Everyone, I need your help to translate the following 7 words from English to Swedish language (unfortunately I don't speak Swedish): Brakes Exhaust Exterior Interior Performance / Engine tuning Suspension Rims / Wheels I am preparing an online shop and need help with the translation of my categories. Thank for your reply. Just the following questions: 1. According to Google Translate Inredning=Fitting. Does it mean Interior as well? 2. I have used Engine tuning=Motor optimering. Does it sound correct? Once again thanks for your help! |

Inredning=Fitting???<<<That does not sounds as the word i should use in that translation..I'm not an expert in English i also must say ;) Inredning=Interior is the proper word as i can understand it :) About nr 2: Yes, that is a correct translation, but of course we also in Sweden have some synonyms?<Spell it wrong maybe ;)), meaning that some words can mean many things similar to the "Motor optimering", ex. "Motortrimning", so for you to be sure about that you must be maybe more correct in what you mean about "Engine tuning"... Is it old fashion "motortrimning" whith other camshafts etc. or is it just changing of "chip" for example that you mean with that? Well...maybe i have done something wrong whith my attempt to help you, but hopefully someone can tell me when time goes by in this "letter" if it is so? Mvh Janne. |

1. Interior = Inredning. I wouldn't translate Fitting to Inredning...but then I'm not an automatic translation tool either ;) 2. It is correct but write it as one word - Motoroptimering ___ //Ulf |

Interior = inredning Everything between the inside of the doors and in the trunk. Performance = prestanda Often used when altering/molding engine parts for more durability, torque and horsepower. Hardware. Engine tuning = motoroptimering In sweden the word Tuning is used when changing engine performance using only a computer. Software. If it works, don't fix it. |

"Inredning" can be translated as "fitting", it just doesn't apply to cars. Homes and similar. Vorsprung durch freude am fahren |

I'm just a regular user with no authority to take any decisions on behalf of Autopower but I can hardly think of any problems posting a link. I mean there are links to company websites here and there in the threads. Since you ask so politely I hope one admin will give an answer to you. |

I'm no admin either, but I can't find any reason forbidding you to post a link towards your shop strictly for help. Posting links towards a webpage for personal gain isn't allowed though, as it'll violate §8. I made a fast translation. §8: Advertisement without permit isn't allowed, neither for personal nor commercial reasons. BMW cars or BMW parts shall be advertised on PowerBörsen instead. Products or services that's advertised or publiced as text in forum posts (both signatures and profileinformation included) might result in deletion and/or an invoice of 500 SEK per begun hour that the ad is present. I was unable to find my Inbox, even with Google Translate because this forum (in terms of software) differs from common php bulletin boards. I check my mail regularly and no emails received except notifications for new posts. I decided not to post link to avoid issues with the administration. I will do it in the right way - when the site is ready I will get in touch with the admins to discuss the available advertising options. Probably it will be in the beginning of next year at earliest due to the pending tasks for completion. Once again thank you for all your help with the translation and your warm welcome! |
