Ville bara kolla om andra har samma problem och om det är vanligt förekommande?

The wheel sensor in use by the Mk3 or Mk4 nav system is the front
left wheel.
The Mk1 and Mk2 use both front left and front right wheels.

To test, you could disconnect the speed pulse from the nav unit and
drive without it for a while.
Then you force the nav to use GPS alone, instead of GPS + Dead
Reckoning.

Or - if you have a Mk3 or Mk4, and the factory wiring loom, you will
have both left and right wheel signals at the nav connector, but be
using only the left wheel. So you could swap the left and right
signals and see if the problem goes away.

Wheel sensor readings are directly proportional to road speed.

If your speed readings change a lot when the vahilce speed is
constant, then you either have a bad wire connection, or a poor pulse
waveform.

The nav system automatically calibrates the wheel speed against
GPS-calculated speed, so if you have drastically changing speed
pulses then the calibration will be stuffed up and positional errors
will defintely result.

The nav wheel pulses are processed and output by the ABS unit, so if
the waveform is bad the ABS unit might be generating bad waveforms.
You'd need to observe this on an oscilloscope to verify.

If you had a bad wheel speed sensor, then maybe the ABS would be
showing errors (maybe as I'm not sure) A diagnostic check would
confirm.

Otherwise, if the waveforms are fine, then it may be the nav input
stages which are defect. A new nav unit would confirm this.

The thing is that i've already changed my Nav unit from an MK3-->MK4, so for the problem to persist there must me some other factor than the recpeption. I think that you might be on to something here because when I go to the menu "sensor check" I see that the wheel sensor is always showing negative figures witch implies that its going backwards, or I could be wrong here? But It's like you said the marginal error isn't consistant it "only" happens in certain areas like in the city and around the city? Do you think I should disconnect the wheel sensor and go on w/o it for a while to check?

Man blir smått irriterad! I en sväng så kan markören få fnatt och komma in på fel område. Ska man lära isg o. leva med detta eller går det o. fixa?
