E34 Touring bootlid troubles

Got a funny thing with my bootlid.

2 days ago, it opened by itself a few times. I started driving, I heard the "pop" from the lid as if the handle had been pressed.
It did this a few times, popping open.

Yesterday it worked fine, no problems at all.

Then today, its dead, only the glass-window is openable.

I suspect its the micro-switch that causing problems, but is there a emergency opening system of the bootlid so that I can get to the lid backside :)

any help is appreciated :)
It can of course be the micro switch that is faulty but I would look at the cables that are going to the bootlid, one set of cables on each side, they have a tendency to break and cause short circuits which can give very strange faults.

Here is a tip on how to exchange them: Länk

I had this problem on my car and didn't buy new harnesses as BMW charge outrageous amounts for them, I just exchanged the broken cables.

You should be able to open the bootlid with your key, that's what I did when I had this problem

Tried the key also. No luck, turn it one way, all doors lock, turn it the other way, they all open....except the bootlid :D

Thanks for the link thou, need to get the lid open to access the cables i think :)
No I mean try using the key in the bootlid lock, at least I have a lock in the bootlid and this mechanically opens the bootlid. It does not affect the other locks in the car, at least not in my car.

Yep, tried it in the bootlid lock, effect as described above :)
Ok, must be that the 530 has more functions than mine, I have not tried but it might be possible to loosen the trim of the bootlid with it closed enough that you can operate the opening manually.

If you look at the link above you see that the trim goes over the lock at the bottom of the lid but if you can open the galls you can loosen it at the top and behind the tool tray.

That is the only suggestion I have, here you can see the parts of the lock: Länk
if you can open the glass i mean, skipped the proofreading i suppose...

Well, the bootlid popped open by itself again just as I was getting in the car.. even thou the switch still isnt working.

I got the bootlid open, dismantled it to get to the wires.

I measured on the glasslid switch, it receives +12V and when activated it passes thru to the glasslid motor. (it seems, correct me if im wrong :))

On the bootlid, theres always 0V on one side of the switch and 3V on the other.
On the motor, theres constant 12V on one side, 0V on the other.

This just seems wrong compared to the glasslid.
I went thru the Bentley E34 manual, the wiring diagrams, but didnt really figure out how its supposed to be....

Any help is appreciated :)
